Movies I’ll watch if I stumble upon them on TV…

In no particular order:

  1. Blackhawk Down until they make it through the night and the UN shows up to escort them to the stadium; I love all of the parts with the Delta soldiers, reminds me of an old neighbor who was a Ranger and was in Somalia–talked about the Delta guys all the time…
  2. Boyz N Tha Hood until Ricky gets killed, then, deeply saddened I turn on something else…
  3. Road House–whole movie… I refer you again to Gries’ site
  4. Pulp Fiction, though I get so frustrated with the edited language (“It’s the one that says Bad Mutha [silence] on it…”)
  5. Death Wish (I and II)–whole movie…
  6. The Rookie (shut up)…
  7. Se7en until Sloth, then I turn…
  8. The Goonies–whole movie…
  9. Close Encount… WAIT A SECOND…

James Cromwell is a Black Panther??? Really? I remember him best as the crooked chief in L.A. Confidential–one of the best films I’ll always watch when it’s on TV. And as Marcel Cassette in Murder By Death–one of the funniest spoofs Neil Simon penned, which actually featured Truman Capote. And Peter Sellers as Wang. Peter Sellers was perhaps the most talented actor in the last 50 years, though he suffered from the kind of personality disorders that Extremely Talented People tend to suffer from. The biopic of him starring Geoffrey Rush is really awesome, but because he was a personal hero of mine, it’s also really, really sad. Anyway…

What was I talking about?
